The app "Chengdu Subway Metro Map" (the "App") is developed and published by Handtechnics. This policy explains what information the App handles and how.
Handtechnics does not collect, store or sell any personal information. The App has no accounts and no sign-in. Everything you do in the App — the stations you look up, the routes you plan — stays on your device and is never sent to us.
The App is free and supported by a banner advertisement served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect information from your device, such as the device's advertising identifier (IDFA), IP address, approximate location derived from it, device model and operating system, and details about ad interactions. This information is collected by Google under its own privacy policy, which you can read at policies.google.com/privacy and policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
On iOS 14.5 and later the App asks for your permission before allowing the advertising identifier to be used for tracking (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised to you. You can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. Where required by law, the App also shows a consent form before personalised ads are served.
The App remembers your recently viewed stations and a small number of preferences (for example, whether you have been asked to rate the App). This information is stored only on your device, is not transmitted to Handtechnics, and is deleted when you delete the App.
The App contains links to other Handtechnics apps on the App Store and a button to e-mail us. Following those links takes you to Apple's App Store or your mail app, which are governed by their own privacy policies.
The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Station positions are derived from OpenStreetMap data (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL). No map data is downloaded while you use the App; the map is included in the App and works offline.
If we change this policy we will post the new version at this address and update the date above.
